Why Get An Aeration?

Why get an Aeration?

Aerating your lawn annually is an important part of a healthy lawn care program. Using a machine, we remove cores of soil from the turf.  An aeration will reduce soil compaction, thatch levels and will help allow air, moisture and nutrients to easily enter the soil.
We aerate lawns in the spring and fall when the cooler temperatures and increased precipitation allow for a large core to be pulled from the ground. In Arlington Texas we experience weather that is all over the place. We have extreme heats, and rain. As home owners we must aerate our lawns once a year.

Do not rake or remove the cores.  Over the next few weeks after an aeration, they will naturally decompose back into the soil.  As this happens the cores will release valuable nutrients back into the soil.
Combined with an over seeding, it is a very beneficial service, especially for thinning or damaged lawns.  We strongly recommend that all lawns receive an aeration every year.  An aeration will:
Reduce soil compaction.
Lower thatch levels.
Allow air, moisture and nutrients to enter the soil.
